Cable&WirelessData Centre Facilities

Our facilities provide a secure, scalable IT environment with continuous
availability for your business-critical applications.

Data centre hosting facilitiesWe have chosen Cable&Wireless data centres for our colocation and hosting services - all data centres are custom-built, providing
state-of-the-art tier 1 hosting space with facilities designed to
meet the security and availability requirements of many
high-profile customers for their Internet and intranet services.

Colocation and hosting facilities include:

  • redundancy for air cooling, power circuits and telco feeds
  • high security including secure access procedures, access controls on all doors, CCTV, security guards and 24/7 monitoring
  • smoke detection systems and zoned fire suppression systems

All systems are constantly monitored to ensure early detection of possible problems and have been designed to handle the most stringent environmental expectations - as a result they more than keep pace with the demands placed on power and cooling.

Fully redundant power comes as standard, supported by carrier-grade uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment. Our power management services ensure that you always have up to the minute data on equipment power consumption as well as the ability to remotely power cycle individual items of equipment.

Our customers can choose to have a single or fully redundant connection to the Internet. Both options are fully managed by Gage Networks and incorporate real-time monitoring and reporting through our Customer Portal.

On-site support ensures that you always have cover, day or night, for those tasks that cannot be done remotely.

Site security is assured through extensive CCTV monitoring, security guards, card access systems and rigorously applied access processes to ensure no unauthorised access is gained.

Managed Storage Area Networks

The Managed Storage Area Network (SAN) provided by Gage Networks offers an affordable alternative to running your own dedicated SAN, making it ideal for small and medium-sized companies who need a cost-effective high-end solution for the storage of data.

Stored data is available to all computers at all locations on your network and can be accessed at any time without slowing your systems. Data can also be uploaded from any computer on your network.

Managed SAN allows you to keep your data online for as long as you need - if more storage is needed, extra disks can be added, making it a highly scalable solution. As your data is separate from your servers it leaves your dedicated servers free to process information faster and in a disaster recovery situation your data would still be available.
