Cable&Wireless Worldwide expands Multi-Service Platform (MSP) to the Americas

In response to the growing demand for seamless, secure, resilient and high capacity connections across continents, Cable&Wireless Worldwide has expanded its next-generation Multi-Service Platform (MSP).

Already available in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia Pacific, India and the Middle East, the MSP is now available to the Americas, giving Gage Networks' multi-national customers the ability to reduce their costs and deliver multiple services over a single global network. The expansion also provides greater flexibility to implement new services with minimal disruption and scale bandwidth across the network to deliver business requirements as customers' demands grow.

C&WW's global next-generation network (NGN) stretches to more than 500,000km, providing connectivity to 153 countries. The IP-based MSP operates across the NGN, offering a single environment on which voice and data applications can be converged to drive business efficiencies. The network is uniquely designed with in-built resilience and the capability to re-route traffic in the event of failure of one or more paths, particularly at the international level.
