Prompt Payment Scheme generates over £700 for Sense

6 February 2012

The Gage Networks' Prompt Payment Scheme has generated another £700 which will be donated to Sense, the charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.

Launched in December 2010, the Prompt Payment Scheme pledges to give £5 to Sense for every customer invoice settled by Direct Debit or within the company's 30-day payment terms. Gage Networks customers have been extremely welcoming of the scheme, with some switching to Direct Debit to ensure their donation is made each month.

A £5 donation to Sense buys a musical toy for a deafblind child to explore and enjoy, stimulating the child's limited hearing, or a set of aromatherapy oils to help stimulate a child's senses, while £650 allows Sense to take a deafblind child on holiday or provide them and their family with the opportunity to join one of the Sense Family Days.

Sense offers expert advice, and services to support deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them. These help with learning, living independently, and assisted employment, and even offer the chance to experience new places and people with organised holidays. The charity runs several centres across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland each designed to offer individualised programs to meet sensory and mobility needs, while giving carers much-needed respite support.
