Gage Networks' colocation services are hosted in a high specification and carrier neutral Cable&Wireless Worldwide data centre that is designed for continuous availability, governed by stringent SLAs and managed by a team of technical experts.

Our facility provides Government grade security, fully redundant power with UPS and emergency generator backup, advanced environmental stability and multi zoned fire detection & suppression systems.

Colocating your business-critical services in a stable and secure environment with significant telco presence and direct access onto Cable&Wireless' Global IP backbone (AS1273), will ensure that your business assets are fully optimised and protected.

 

Power

We understand the importance of a fully resilient and redundant power infrastructure within a business class Data Centre to provide continuous availability in the face of power outages and unforeseen circumstances.

The N+1 power infrastructure within the data centre is protected by multiple layers of redundancy and resiliency incorporating separate power distribution units, backup diesel generators, UPS power supplies and testing to simulate an outage event. This intelligent design provides complete assurance from power bar to power station.

 

Power Infrastructure

• Power Resilience: Fully redundant power supply built to N+1 specification and supported by carrier-grade uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment and backup generators
• National Grid Feed: The data centre is supplied by three parallel feeds direct from the power utility company connect diversely to two transformers, one primary and one back-up
• Generators: Power feeds are backed up by three 1.5 MVA diesel generators. These are Cat-3152 standby generators which provide 72 hours of building power autonomy and store over 20,000 litres of fuel
• Emergency Fuel: To protect against outages the facility is on the emergency fuel list with agreements in place to refuel at short notice
• Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS): The generators are backed-up up by 4x400 kVA primary + 2x500 kVA redundant UPS
• PDU Redundancy: Twelve Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provides ample capacity for PDU power redundancy throughout the data centre
• Failover: The generators are tested monthly by failing over the data centre to run off the generators. This is run for 2-3 hours with seamless switchover
• Load Testing: There is an annual load bank test to simulate real-life resistive loads which might not occur during the monthly switchover testing
